Chill place to eat or have coffee. Good steak and seafood! Spanish bread is addicting too!

Very good coffee shop. Lot of choice of cakes and coffee. Lot of people go there and a little noisy. Price are not expensive for Makati district.

Love the concept, aesthetics, and unique selection in this place. The prices are on the higher end, but it is to be expected around Rockwell. Looking around, I was expecting to receive a bit of help in navigating from the staff though. Many, if not most, of them were scattered and did not cater to the roaming customers. We were not able to try the savory dishes here but we did like the in-house gelato options. A medium-sized cup costs around ₱275 while a large one is somewhere north of ₱300. Great place to cap the night, as there is a lack of dessert options in the Proscenium area.

Vast selection of food with affordable items. We spent around Php 1k for 2pax. I love their roast beef sandwich - delicious sauce, tender meat, fresh bread. Their cookie dough gelato is a must-try! Though, I don’t think it’s for big groups as the dining space is a little limited but luckily, we’re able to secure seats at 7pm dinner. I will definitely go back! Excited to try their madeleines, other bakery treats, juicer and other yummy meals.

A warm recommendation for meat lovers, I have known the concept from Thailand for many years. You enter a high-quality and prestigious supermarket, approach the butcher and ask about the option of a chef on site, choose the steaks you like. It is worth coming with a friend or two to make it more affordable. Usually, cooking up to one kilo is the same price. I came with a friend. We chose the ribeye (two pieces of 500 grams each), it was delicious. We added baked potatoes from the deli next door, (there are many options for toppings). We took beers from the fridge, and left empty plates. We didn't leave much work for the dishwasher.

Joel’s Place in Makati is a stylish, upscale deli that blends a café, grocery store, and gourmet food spot into one sleek space. The ambiance is refined yet inviting, with a well-curated selection of coffee, wine, fresh juices, pastries, and gourmet groceries—perfect for foodies who appreciate quality. During our visit, we tried the **seafood paella and broccoli risotto**, personally preferred the paella but both were well-prepared. It’s worth noting that they use **pearl barley instead of rice**, giving the dishes a slightly different texture. If you’re expecting traditional rice-based versions, this might be a surprise, but the taste itself was satisfying. The **latte and cappuccino** were solid—smooth and well-balanced, though not necessarily standout compared to specialty coffee shops. What really sets Joel’s Place apart is its high-end, modern-inspired vibe and the convenience of being able to enjoy a meal while browsing their selection of gourmet groceries. The seating area is comfortable, making it a great spot for a relaxed brunch or a quick coffee break. While the food and drinks may not be mind-blowing, the overall experience—elevated atmosphere, diverse offerings makes Joel’s Place a worthwhile stop for those who appreciate a chic, all-in-one deli experience. Summary – A classy spot with great potential, though some dishes might surprise you with their unique twists!
